Melanie Pollmann
Melanie Pollmann comes from near Höxter, NRW.
She studied German language and literature, educational science, Romance studies (specializing in Italian) and philosophy at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. During her studies, she worked as an assistant to the artistic director at the chamber theater "Der Kleine Bühnenboden" in Münster. During this time, she spent several periods abroad in Bologna, Italy.
After an internship at the Berliner Ensemble, she was an assistant director at Theater Osnabrück from 2011 to 2014, where she also took on her own dramaturgies.
In 2014, she then went to the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern as dramaturge and youth advisor, and guest dramaturgies took her to the Staatstheater Darmstadt in the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons.
In 2018, she also took over the management of a cooperation project that aims to provide young people with uncomplicated and low-threshold access to the theater. She also studied "Management in Cultural and Non-Profit Organizations" at the Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University of Kaiserslautern-Landau. She is the mentor of an elementary school in the project "Schools against racism, schools without violence".
Since the 2022/2023 season, she has been a dramaturge for drama and digital theater at Staatstheater Augsburg.
