The association has set itself the task of bringing together friends of the work, interested parties and connoisseurs in order to promote discussion of Bert Brecht's work. The Bert Brecht Circle is open to all those who appreciate Brecht and aims to be a platform and home for all those who are united by a common interest in this great poet from Augsburg and wish to enter into a relationship with one another. The association organizes lectures and readings, promotes academic work on Brecht's works and cooperates with the University of Augsburg. It also supports the Brechthaus, the Bertolt Brecht Research Center and the Brecht Collection of the Augsburg State and City Library. Maintaining contact with other Brecht centers is also important to the association.
