In the current crisis, children are among the most vulnerable and weakest members of society. It is important to see and hear them, because hope for a better future germinates in the "after-born". Brecht's famous "Children's Hymn" is the soundtrack for this.
In the fall of 2024, the Brecht Circle, with the support of Augsburg schools, called on young people to take an artistic approach to the topic of children's rights. An expert jury selected the best entries from the submissions. They will be honored at an award ceremony and exhibited on the first floor of the city library for the duration of the Brecht Festival.
