Dear audience,
following the reading and discussion of the great theatre innovator, the Brechtfestival puts Brecht on his feet and develops a Brechtian theatre of the many. And that can't happen without you!
Get involved in “Kampf um die Stadt”, a wrestling show that deals with high rents and speculation in the city. Join various musicians from the city at the festival opening with the minimal music symphony ‘In C’ or take part in this experiment as a spectator and listener. And incarnate the dialectic of matter and spirit as you immerse yourself in the highlight of the festival: an 48hour dance marathon -, the winner will be the one who holds out to the end and cuts the best figure. Numerous dance groups, clubs and organisers from Augsburg set the pace. You can dance along around the clock and even win prizes in individual dances!
Discover the concerts at Brecht's Kraftklub or the opera ‘Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny” (22.2./ 2.3.) by Kurt Weill at martini-Park. “Mutter Courage und ihre Kinder” (26.2.) will provide you with a taste of Brecht in English, Russian, Turkish or German sign language. We are constantly working on opening more shows to more languages. Keep updated on our website for more information.
Whether as an audience member or a participant - or, once again, as both at the same time - we look forward to seeing you!
