Why are political decisions based exclusively on human needs? The "Republic of Organisms Augsburg" puts our understanding of democracy to the test. Over 600 species - from single-celled organisms to beavers - have been naturalized on an equal footing in the state territory at the Red Gate. A constitution has been adopted, parliament has met and decisions have been implemented. But the city of Augsburg is ignoring the decision of the constitutional court to allow the beavers their engineering skills. Is the administration hoping that the republic of organisms will run out of breath? Should the republic grow or will the experiment end here? Human dictatorship or water city for all? Come to the living beings' referendum!
