Mathias Lenz works in changing constellations and contexts on the supposed boundaries between object theater, performance art and mechanical engineering, sometimes also in spoken theater or as a stage designer. What interests him more than the end product is the process of getting there, the tinkering and the repeated discarding. Lenz has been involved in the realization of various short films and holds three registered patents for new inventions, including the "radiological storage grid".
