Bert Brecht and Helene Weigel fled Germany immediately after the Reichstag fire in 1933. One problem was that they had already placed their two-year-old daughter Barbara with Grandpa Brecht in Augsburg as a precaution. How could they prevent the Nazis from getting their hands on the child? What role did Großaitingen play in this? An attempt at a reconstruction, with a historical audio recording.
