Winter 2021: lonely street lamps cast their pale light onto the silent asphalt. Nothing but silence emanates from the houses where bars, pubs and venues usually welcome their guests. A virus has swept them clean. Only art can take on this mighty nemesis!
The Brecht Festival lets the Bolshevik Kurkapelle Schwarz-Rot dance across the building facades in a kind of ritual exorcism. Lullabies by Brecht and Hölderlin, Hanns Eisler and Kurt Weill orchestrate the digital ramble through Augsburg at night and send a loud signal to the screens out there. The future we are building together is everyone's business.
