Theater HORA
Theater HORA is now a company with 33 full-time and part-time employees. The company combines artistic creation and inclusion and employs 22 people with IV entitlement and 11 employees without. They all work together in the independently functioning Production/Ensemble, HORA'BAND and Operations departments. Depending on the project or production, there are also a number of external employees who are hired on a fee basis for individual artistic aspects of the company. The acting ensemble currently has 18 permanent full-time positions and the HORA'BAND, excluding the bandleader, has 5 part-time positions. The remaining permanent HORA employees are responsible for overall management, artistic management, theatrical and educational support for the ensemble, production management, management of the HORA'BAND and administration.
From the 2020/21 season, Theater HORA will switch to a new operating model. The basic operation of the ensemble, the so-called "laboratory", will now be separated from the production department. The laboratory department will offer a year-round, varied training program in various theater disciplines. Guest artists from the local and international art and theater scene will be invited for the training. The vision is to strengthen the ensemble members in their artistic empowerment and independence and to continuously train them in different art and performance directions, but also in organization and responsibility. The Laboratory department is headed by Amadea Schütz and Ivna Žic. The Production department will continue to be responsible for producing new plays, staging guest performances at home and abroad as well as local, national and international networking. Yanna Rüger and Stephan Stock will take over as the new Artistic Directors from the 2020/21 season.
