Tatiana Chizikova
Tatiana Chizikova is a contemporary dance artist, lecturer in physical and performative practices, choreography and movement research. Artistic focus: new hybrid forms of movement at the interface of contemporary dance and other media, documentary choreography, everyday choreography, reassembling the body, concept-based dance, contextualization in dance, the uncanny in performative and physical practices. Participant of ImPulsTanz Vienna International Dance Festival 2019 (Vienna, Austria) and winner of the [8:tension] Young Choreographers' Series 2019. In 2022 Tatjana was dismissed from the dance academy in Moscow, where she taught contemporary dance, because of her anti-war stance. This prompted her to continue her artistic activity in Germany, where she had already been working with dance dramaturge Anna Semenova-Ganz for three years. Tatjana and Anna are currently working together with Berlin-based dancers on a dance performance entitled "Cloud Russians", which premiered on the stage of the Lichthof Theater in Hamburg in January 2023. The project is supported by the DaKu fund.
