Stefanie Schlesinger
Stefanie Schlesinger discovered her love and affinity for jazz during her classical singing studies: with her own sound, the Bamberg-born singer combines fresh standard interpretations and jazz variations of classical arias with new repertoire from her own repertoire or from the extensive songbook of Wolfgang Lackerschmid. Together with him, she also developed the stage form of the musiclet, which combines the possibilities of (music) theater and jazz. In 2003, she was the first singer to be awarded the Bavarian Arts Promotion Prize in the jazz category. Stefanie Schlesinger performs in Germany and internationally and has released CDs on ENJA-Records, HGBS, Randvoll Records and her own label hipjazz.
