Dr. Silke van Dyk, Professor of Political Sociology at the Friedrisch Schiller University in Jena and spokesperson for the Collaborative Research Center "Structural Change of Property". She researches property and social inequality, alternative economies and the commons, as well as the relationship between capitalism and democracy and the tensions inherent in democracy in times of growing inequality. In her book "Community Capitalism" (Hamburger Edition 2021; together with Tine Haubner), she explores the question of how more and more areas of our lives and everyday activities are being exploited in times of multiple crises.
