Robert Schweer was born in Berlin. He studied theater and event technology there. From 1995 to 1998 he was employed as workshop and production manager at Theater Basel. Since 1998 Robert Schweer has worked as a stage designer at the Münchner Kammerspiele, Theater Basel, Thalia Theater Hamburg, Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Zürcher Schauspielhaus, Schauspielhaus Bochum, Staatstheater Hannover, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Residenztheater München, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Het Norske Theatret Oslo, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Oper Köln, Nationaltheater Mannheim and Semperoper Dresden. He has worked with directors such as Lars-Ole Walburg, Markus Bothe, Stephan Rottkamp, Mina Salehpour and Tilo Nest.
