Robert Gerloff
Robert Gerloff, born in Duisburg in 1982, studied political science in Bonn and theater studies in Bochum for several semesters. He worked as an assistant director at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Theater Neumarkt in Zurich and the Residenztheater in Munich and has worked with directors including Sebastian Baumgarten, Bruce LaBruce, Jürgen Gosch, Martin Kušej, Stefan Pucher, Stefan Bachmann and Rafael Sanchez. As a director, Gerloff has worked at the Residenztheater Munich, Staatstheater Oldenburg, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Volkstheater Wien and Schauspielhaus Bochum, among others, and is known for energetic reinterpretations of popular material (such as "King Kong", Oldenburgisches Staatstheater 2020, "Sherlock Holmes jagt Dr. Watson", Schauspielhaus Bochum 2022, "Emil und die Detektive", Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus 2024).
