Regina Kanyu Wang 王侃瑜 is one of the most committed representatives of Chinese science fiction: she writes, publishes anthologies, founded her own fan club, has traveled around the world to the biggest conventions and has just submitted her doctoral thesis on women in science fiction. Last year, she was nominated for the most prestigious science fiction award, the Hugo Award, in the "Best Short Story" category for "Zhurong on Mars". Her short story collection "Das Meeresfrüchterestaurant" 海鲜饭店 (Drachenhaus Verlag, 2024) will be published at the same time as this issue of the capsule.
