Marco Vitale
Marco Vitale, born in Augsburg, developed his love of lighting design during his training as an event technology specialist at Theater Augsburg, which he was able to demonstrate time and again in small projects during this time. At the beginning of 2012, he completed his training as a lighting technician and was subsequently employed as a lighting technician at Theater Augsburg under the direction of Kai Luczak. In 2019, he moved to the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin as lighting master and permanent lighting designer.
Marco Vitale has been responsible for the lighting design of over fifty new productions in the fields of drama, opera, musicals and ballet. He has worked with choreographers such as He has worked with choreographers such as Itzik Galili, Douglas Lee, Edward Clug, Maurice Causey, Angel Rodriguez, Cayetano Soto, Dominique Dumais, Valentina Turcu, Stephen Shropshire, Georg Reischl and directors such as Anne Lenk, Markus Trabusch, Maria Viktoria Linke, Bernadette Sonnbichler, André Bücker, David Ortmann, Dirk Schmeding, Roland Schwab, Roman Hovenbitzer, Cusch Jung, Falk Richter, Sebastian Baumgarten and Gaines Hall.
Since 2016, he has been working as a lecturer and trainer for digital lighting design with Capture Visualization throughout Europe.
In May 2021, he returned to Augsburg and took over the management of the lighting department at the Staatstheater Augsburg.
