Franz Dobler and Das Hobos have been meeting since 2015 to combine sounds and poetry. They also work together for the radio play department of Bayerischer Rundfunk. Franz Dobler is a writer, journalist and DJ. He writes for the Süddeutsche Zeitung, among others, and was awarded the German Crime Fiction Prize in 2015. The Hobos is inspired by the homeless travelers in the early 20th century who used freight trains to travel across the country and were referred to as "hobos".
