Chi Hui
Chi Hui 迟卉 was born in northeast China in 1984. Since 2006, she has lived in Chengdu, one of the country's largest cities, with her ten-year-old cat. She studied biology at Shanghai University of Education, but never intended to work as a teacher. She has been writing since 1999. Her first short story appeared in China's largest science fiction magazine, Science Fiction World, in 2003. Since then, she has published over one hundred short stories and several novels, for which she has been awarded several Chinese science fiction prizes. From 2017 to 2021, she worked on the editorial board of Science Fiction World, and is now a freelance writer again. Some of her stories have also been translated into English and Korean.
