Barbara Morgenstern is a musician and composer. According to Maurice Summen from the Staatsakt label, "Barbara Morgenstern moved to Berlin via Hamburg, where she quickly made a name for herself with her idiosyncratic sound that combines electronic, songwriting and folk. Pop experts hadn't heard music this enchanted since the Canterbury Sound." Since 1998, she has released a total of nine records on the Berlin label Monika Enterprise. In October 2018, she released her tenth solo album "Unschuld & Verwüstung" on the Berlin label Staatsakt.

Barbara Morgenstern has been working regularly with Rimini Protokoll since 2012. In six productions, starting with Lagos Business Angels, this collaboration - and since 2019 in particular that with Helgard Haug - has continued to develop: from pure composition ("Lagos Business Angels", "DO's & DON'Ts"), to the combination of composition and participation as a performer in the piece ("Qualitätskontrolle", "Chinchilla Arschloch, waswas") to composition for a 17-piece ensemble in "All right. Good night ".

"Chinchilla Arschloch, waswas" (2019) and "All right. Good night." (2021) were each invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen. "All right. Good night." was also invited to the Impulse Festival Düsseldorf, nominated for the Mülheim Dramatists' Prize and named Production of the Year 2022 in the Theater heute critics' poll.
