Is it okay if some people want more than they actually need? Even if it makes other people feel bad?
Biting social criticism wrapped up in catchy music - this mixture has made "The Threepenny Opera" world-famous. It was first performed on stage in 1928. The scandalous story takes place among beggars, criminals and shady businessmen. "How does one become a criminal?" is the central question. Sapir Heller's direction gets to the bottom of it - in a powerful production for all the senses, with the acting ensemble of the Staatstheater and the Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra.
