Bertolt Brecht was a school newspaper editor in his youth. He published articles in the Augsburger Allgemeine. Avant-garde at the time. A young Brecht today would most likely be active on YouTube, TikTok or Instagram. He would be testing out new formats and content online with his team.
How can the diverse media possibilities of today be used? How can interests and personal topics be turned into media content that also appeals to others and leads to interaction? And is it possible to do this together?
In a 2-part workshop with illustrator Nontira Kigle (IG: @nontirakigle) and video journalist Janet Habtemariam (TikTok: @auf_null), young people can experiment with storytelling, illustration and moving image techniques.
The first day of the workshop is all about how to find a topic and create a story from it. On the second day, the stories are realized: either as an illustration or as a video.
The results will be published on a separate platform and linked to this website.
