Simorgh Theater "The Fifth Wheel"

"Live without being seen" - an imperative that is a burning reality for the artists of the all-female Simorgh Theater in Herat. Since the withdrawal of the allied troops, these young women, who are not on any list of people to be protected, have been rushing from hiding place to hiding place. Women artists, who are marginalized, hushed up and persecuted in many respects, have been working underground with texts from Bertolt Brecht's "Lesebuch für Städtebewohner" ("From the Reader for City Dwellers"), bringing to life what this perspective makes possible. With the KULA Compagnie, Robert Schuster sees himself as a transmitter between these women and a European public.
