Tintin Patrone is a German-Filipino sound and performance artist. She explores the connections between music, art, sound and experimental gesture. Her work focuses on the visual aspects of music, the tension between conceptual ideas and physical existence, and our individual and social relationship to music.

Through the use of robots and artificial intelligence in her art, Tintin Patrone challenges traditional notions of human subjectivity and physical presence. By incorporating these technological elements, she aims to go beyond outdated concepts of "human nature" and open up new perspectives that could develop in parallel with contemporary scientific and technological currents. Although her works are complex, they never lapse into theoretical or academic posturing. They are disarmingly touching, often exuberant and occasionally hilarious in the unexpected moments that arise during the research. A playful, constantly evolving and self-deprecating gesture underpins her practice.

Tintin Patrone studied art with Haegue Yang, Asmus Tietchens, Isaac Julian, Matti Braun, Markus Löffler and Andre Korpys at the HFBK Hamburg, founded the noise ensemble Krachkisten Orchest in 2009 and the regular sound art and mobile sound system event International MusicMotorcycleClub in 2012. Since 2018 she has been part of the performance collective The Ambassadors of Disappointment in collaboration with the Goethe Center in Guadalajara, Mexico. In 2021, she ran a more contemporary Asian takeaway called DEUTSCHES REIS, which gave equal space to experimental music and unusual food.
