Stefan Brodte studied drums and percussion at Codarts Rotterdam, won the Best European Samba Award 2002 and the Dutch Drum Award 2003 with the Dutch band Batuquinho, as well as the German World Music Prize Ruth with Hans Söllner & Bayaman'Siss'dem in 2009. In addition to teaching at Downtown, Musikwerkstatt and Leopold Mozart College, he plays in the Safari Percussion Ensemble, the Brazzeria Brassband, with Mjalisuso & Kayro, with Aylin's Soulgarden and also solo with Loopstation.
