Shin Yeo
Shin Yeo was born in Daegu, South Korea. He graduated from Gyeongbuk Arts High School and obtained his bachelor's degree from the Korean National University of Arts in Seoul.
He then came to Europe to do his master's degree at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart. He completed his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich.

Shin Yeo was a member of the Niederrhein Opera Studio in Krefeld/Mönchengladbach, where he was entrusted with roles such as Bartolo in "Il barbiere di Siviglia", Peter in "Hänsel und Gretel" and the Heerrufer in "Lohengrin".
His subsequent engagement at the International Opera Studio in Hamburg gave him the opportunity to work with conductors such as Kent Nagano, Paolo Carignani, Pier Giorgio Morandi and Stefano Ranzani and to acquire a broad repertoire ranging from Georg Philipp Telemann to Alban Berg.
Shin Yeo took on his first permanent engagement in the 2019/20 season as a bass at the Stadttheater Bremerhaven. His roles at this theater included Alidoro in "La Cenerentola", Le Bailli in "Werther" and the title role in "Le nozze di Figaro", while the Hamburg State Opera engaged him as a guest for Schaunard in "La bohème", Pietro in "Simon Boccanegra" and Drebednjow in Shostakovich's "Moscow, Cheryomushki". Further guest engagements took him to the Staatstheater Oldenburg and the Staatstheater Braunschweig as Donner in "Das Rheingold". In October 2021, Shin Yeo won 1st prize at the Concorso Lirico Internazionale Santa Gianna Beretta Molla in Italy.
He will be a member of the Augsburg State Theater ensemble from the 2023/24 season. In his first season, his roles include the title role in "Eugene Onegin" and Nick Shadow in "The Rake's Progress".
