Poetra Ama Asantewa Diaka is a Ghanaian artist who lives between Ghana and the USA and describes herself as a "storyteller". Poetra's approach to poetry began in 2010 when she regularly attended gatherings of a group of poets and writers who met to slam, perform and share. In her own works, often spoken word poetry combined with original soundtracks, Poetra Asantewa deals primarily with mental illness and the perception of one's own body - always from a feminist perspective.
