Katsiaryna Ihnatsyeva-Cadek
Katsiaryna Ihnatsyeva-Cadek was born in Belarus. She graduated with honors from the State Music College (Faculty of Choral Conducting) and the Belarusian State Academy of Music in 2005. In 2003 she founded the academic women's choir "BelajaRusija". Under her direction, the choir has realized numerous tours and CD recordings at home and abroad.
In 2006, she was awarded "Best Conductor" at the international choir competition for church music in Lapy, Poland. Following her training in Belarus, she studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz (choral and orchestral conducting, accompaniment). She completed her master's degree in choral conducting (2009 with Prof. Johannes Prinz) and her bachelor's degree (orchestral conducting 2011 with Prof. Martin Sieghart, accompaniment 2010 with Prof. Dörner) with distinction.
She was employed as a répétiteur at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and worked as a choral assistant at the opera in Graz and as a répétiteur for the Vienna Singverein. She worked as an assistant to Vladimir Fedosejev and as a répétiteur for the productions of "Gogol" (L. Auerbach) and "Johannes Damascenus" (S. Tanejew). In the 2011 production of "Don Giovanni" (Brucknerfestival in Linz, Ried and Szombathely) she worked as a répétiteur and was assistant to Martin Sieghart.
Numerous appearances as a conductor with various orchestras at the Graz University of Music (e.g. rehearsing and conducting the opera "80%" by G. Donizetti), choral rehearsals ("Der Vogelhändler") and work as a répétiteur at the Theater an der Wien ("Les Contes d'Hoffmann") round off her activities to date. She was awarded 1st prize at the public final concert of the "International Master Class for Orchestral Conducting - Vienna 2012".
Katsiaryna Ihnatsyeva-Cadek has been choir director at the Staatstheater Augsburg since the 2012/13 season.
