John Armin Sander first studied theater studies and German language and literature, then acting at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main. Before studying acting, he performed at the Theater Duisburg and the Junges Schauspielhaus Bochum, among others. During his studies, he performed in the Frankfurt independent scene and at Schauspiel Frankfurt.

There John worked with Anne Bader and Christina Tscharyiski, among others. In 2022, he appeared in "Gegen Alle Widerstände" by Marie Schwesinger at the theaters in Kiel and Bielefeld. In the 2022/23 season, he was a member of the ensemble at Schauspiel Wuppertal.
