Jochen Biganzoli was born in Kaiserslautern and now lives in Bremen. He studied theater and musicology at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He completed his training as an assistant director at the Badisches Staatstheater in Karlsruhe and the Bremer Theater. In addition to his work at the theater, he taught for five years at the University of the Arts in Bremen. After his first successful productions in Bremen, he became head director and section head of musical theater at the Kleist Theater in Frankfurt (Oder). He has been a freelancer since 1999 and has worked successfully at various theaters, including Detmold, Pforzheim, Flensburg, Augsburg, Gera, Osnabrück, Regensburg, Halle, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Hamburg, Leipzig and Dresden.
