Jette Schwabe
Jette Schwabe (she/her) (*1997 in Berlin) has been studying scenography and exhibition design at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design since 2017. In her artistic practice, she explores the boundaries and hierarchies between scenography and the bodies acting within it. Her interdisciplinary works operate at the interface between everyday images and surreal worlds. As a scenographer and costume designer, Jette Schwabe works in the fields of performance, film, theater and installation.
From 2022-2023 she was a guest student at the Norwegian Theatre Academy Fredrikstad in Norway. Her work has been shown at the Nationaltheatret Oslo, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Theater Rampe and Volkstheater Karlsruhe. Her latest film work "IGo", created in collaboration with Lina Determann, was nominated at the Gwangju Media Art Festival in South Korea in 2023.
With the fashion collection JJ x H54D Spring Collection 2024, the two artists are continuing this successful collaboration as part of the Community Arts Lab Augsburg (CALA).
