Iris Lichtinger is a musician, curator and artistic director. Since 2009, she has led the MEHR MUSIK! ensemble. As a lecturer for recorder, she teaches chamber music projects in early and contemporary music at the Interdisciplinary Forum for Artistic Interpretation at the Leopold Mozart Center at the University of Augsburg. The versatile musician is also a trained singer. As a pianist, she specializes in the music of the Argentine tango, which she performs with its authentic masters and her ensemble "Más que Tango" on international stages. She is a co-founder and board member of FAMA e.V., the Augsburg Forum for Early Music, and also a co-founder and board member of the Augsburger Gesellschaft für Neue Musik e.V., now: Musik!
