Haozhou Hu
The Chinese tenor Haozhou Hu completed his master's degree in opera singing/music theater at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding in the class of Prof. Íride Martínez. He previously studied at Hangzhou Normal University in cooperation with the Zhejiang Conservatory. In 2022, he completed his master's degree in singing with Prof. Dominik Wortig at the Leopold Mozart Center of the University of Augsburg.
He has worked in master classes with Michael Nagy, Malte Lachmann, Nicola B. Carbone, Terry Wey, Will Humburg, Prof. Brigitte Lindner and others. In 2023 he was a scholarship holder of the Bavarian State Association of the German Stage Association.
The tenor was seen as Phoenix in "Achill unter den Mädchen" (W. A. Schultz) with the Munich Radio Orchestra under the direction of Olivier Tardy, as Gianguir in "Zanaida" (J. C. Bach) under the direction of Oscar Jockel, as Demo in "Il Giasone" (F. Cavalli) and as Juditha in "Juditha Triumphans" (A. Vivaldi). At the Bavarian State Opera he played the 3rd boy in "Der Mond" (C. Orff). He was seen as Truffaldino at Theater Bremen in "The Love for Three Oranges" (S. Prokofiev) under the direction of Sascha Yankevych.
His repertoire includes roles such as Monostastos ("The Magic Flute"), the Witch ("Hansel and Gretel" by E. Humperdinck), etc. In concerts he sings the great cycle "Die schöne Müllerin" (F. Schubert), the Great Mass in C minor, Oratorio de Noël (C. Saint-Saëns), St. Nicolas Cantata (B. Britten), among others.
