Julian Warner is an artist and curator. He publishes widely discussed pop music and performances under the alias Fehler Kuti. He is artistic director of the KulturRegion Stuttgart 2022 festival and has co-curated performing arts festivals for Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm (with Elisa Liepsch), Münchner Kammerspiele (with Julia Grosse) and Berlin's Sophiensaele. In 2021, he designed a large-scale project in public space for the international theater festival Spielart on contemporary discourses of fear ("Global Angst: Parlament. Parade. Ritual."). He was a performer of various essay performances by Oliver Zahn as well as dramaturge and ethnographer of Anta Helena Recke's Schwarzkopie Mittelreich. He worked and taught as a research assistant at the Institute for Cultural Anthropology at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and is co-editor of the anthology ALLIANZEN - Kritische Praxis an weißen Institutionen with Elisa Liepsch. Most recently, he edited an anthology on the state of postcolonial critique in Germany: After Europe. Contributions to Decolonial Critique was published by Verbrecher Verlag in 2021.
