Angel Maxine
Angel Maxine Opoku is Ghana's first openly trans musician. Her musical career began in 2020 with the single "Sweetness (D3d33d3)". She then released "Wo Fie" together with Wanlov the Kubolor and Sister Deborah. Her song "Kill The Bill" (2021) is directed against the anti-LGBT+ law in Ghana, which would mean far-reaching cuts to the rights of LGBT+ people. Her latest single "Prep" (2022) deals with a drug to prevent HIV infection.
